Dora Villarreal Wins UAW Endorsement – Third major labor endorsement since Labor Day
Dora Villarreal today announced another major labor endorsement – this time from the United Auto Workers (UAW) -- on the heels of her endorsements by the Tri-City Building & Construction Trades Council and Plumbers & Pipefitters #25.
“You have proven yourself a labor candidate who will bring honesty, integrity and a modern approach to the office of state’s attorney,” wrote UAW Quad Cities Area CAP Council President Robert Bern. “We also know that you will always look out for the best interest of the hard-working people of Rock Island County.”
The UAW Quad Cities Area CAP Council represents eight local UAW unions on the Illinois side of the river in the Quad Cities.
“I am humbled to have support from the hard-working men and women of the UAW in Rock Island County,” said Dora Villarreal. “As State’s Attorney, I will stand for the values of organized labor – hard work, fairness and commitment to community.”
The UAW nod comes on the heels of two major endorsements from the building & construction trades council and the plumbers & pipefitters.
