Tri-City Building & Construction Trades Council Backs Dora

Rock Island County State’s Attorney Dora Villarreal received a major endorsement of her candidacy: support from the powerful building & construction trades council.
“The Tri-City Building & Construction Trades Council believes your leadership and experience has earned you the opportunity to serve the citizens of Rock Island County,” wrote Jerry Lack, Executive Director of the labor council, in its endorsement of Villarreal.
The council, which represents 7,000 men and women in organized labor, consists of 19 area unions that include the following: Asbestos/Insulators, Boilermakers, Bricklayers, Carpenters, Cement Masons, Elevator Construction, Glaziers, IBEW, Ironworkers, Millwrights, Operating Engineers, Painters, Plasterers, Plumbers & Pipefitters, Roofers, Sheet Metal Workers, Sprinkler Fitters and Teamsters.
